New Front Entryway in Bearden Area

BBT just finished a fantastic front entryway for a local realtor in the Bearden area. Entryways are one of our most common projects, so I have included several pictures to give an idea of the detailed craftsmanship that we bring to our work.

This particular entryway includes more than 30 separate pieces, all assembled using the mortise and tenon technique of timber framing that has existed for thousands of years. Most people would be surprised to learn how strong and stable this makes the structure. Very few metal screws are needed, even when our work is a structural component of a larger building!
Here is a view of the front. Oftentimes our work blends well with stonework to create an "Old World/ Enduring" look.
Here is a close up of the front truss detail. We work hard to build pieces that go together seamlessly.

This last picture is from underneath as the decking has been installed on one side. Tongue-and-grove decking is an excellent "finishing touch" on our work that allows the true beauty to remain visible for all to see. We also offer staining services on many of our jobs, depending on the situation.
