Barlow Bridge and Timberworks: Timber Frame Great Room and Entrances for Swaggerty Sausage Expansion

BBT is known for our craftsmanship, but that doesn't mean we only handle small jobs! Recently, we had the privilege of working with Swaggerty's Farm Sausage to design, fabricate and install some beautiful timberwork in their a truss system for a Great Room and three timber frame entrances. Today's post will look at the Great Room and we'll look at the entrances next time.

This particular timber system included four main trusses with purlins interconnecting them. Above you can see the trusses on the ground just before they are lifted by crane into place. Though it may be difficult to tell in the picture, each truss is around 30ft long and nearly 10ft tall! If you're thinking your space is too big for us, think again!
